The biggest roads infrastructural project in Ireland is taking shape and will be a major asset to development in the west of Ireland. It will bring towns like Athenry, Gort, Loughrea and Tuam into focus for job creation.
Progress on the new motorway is gathering pace, it is important that closer attention be given to the roundabout on the Galway Road in Tuam.
“The roundabout will be the focal point of attention for Tuam. The approach to this roundabout needs to be enhanced and public lighting needs to be extended to create the visual effect required” states Minister Canney.
The costs of these works would be minimal in the context of the overall spend on the project.
When complete the motorway will offer potential for growth in the industry and job creation in Tuam.
“The approach to Tuam needs to recognise this potential in order to gain the maximum potential”, concluded Minister Canney
