Minister Canney: Over €634,000 in CLÁR 2025 funding confirmed for 10 Galway community projects

Seán Canney TD, Minister of State for International & Road Transport, Logistics, Rail and Ports and Leader in Cabinet of the Independent Ministers, has confirmed funding of €634,922 in CLÁR 2025 funding for 10 community projects across County Galway.

The projects, approved under CLÁR 2025 (Measure 1), will deliver upgraded pitches, walkways, parking areas, accessibility improvements and new community recreation facilities across rural Galway.

Minister Canney said the confirmation represents an important investment in rural communities: “These CLÁR allocations will make a real and lasting difference on the ground – safer facilities, better amenities and improved access for families, players and volunteers. The funding backs the tremendous work being done by local communities to keep rural areas strong and active.”
