Minister Seán Canney Welcomes €696 Million Housing Investment to Accelerate Delivery in 2025

Seán Canney TD, Minister of State for International and Road Transport, Logistics, Rail and Ports and Leader in Cabinet of the Independent Ministers, has welcomed the Government’s approval of an additional €696 million in capital funding for housing in 2025.

The funding brings the total additional capital allocated to housing programmes this year to over €1.4 billion.

“This additional funding is a clear signal of the Government’s commitment to accelerating housing delivery,” Minister Canney said. “It will enable local authorities and housing bodies to step up delivery, bring vacant homes back into use, prevent homelessness, support homeowners impacted by construction defects and drive new construction in the private sector.”
