I welcome funding for some local charities from the COVID-19 Stability Fund.
“This was a scheme that was devised by Michael Ring and I from the Dormant Account Fund when we were in Ministerial office and is specifically targeted at charities and organisations who deliver front line services and support to so many”.
‘Some of the charities to receive funding are Tuam Cancer Care €29,952, Galway Autism Partnership (GAP) €34,204 and the Irish Men’s Shed Association €48,485’.
“I am delighted that charities are getting this type of funding at this time. It is vital that groups facing cash flow issues as a result of the crisis can continue to deliver services.”
