Lighting in Headford will be transformed over the next two weeks with works being carried to install new LED lighting at the top of the town..
With €100,000 in funding from my Department’s Town and Village Renewal Scheme, Stage One of the project is now being implemented.
The work involves removing the old ESB poles, moving overhead wires underground and installing the new lighting.
Stage Two of the project, which will involve resurfacing Headford, will take place after Christmas.
The funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development, where I am Minister of State, will involve a range of improvements for the town with the aim of greatly enhancing its public image and aspect.
