Minister of State Seán Canney TD confirms that County Galway will benefit from funding from different strands of the Multi Annual Water Programme. Under measure 1 Source Protection, Galway will be funded to the sum of €50,000.

Under measure 2 Public Health Compliance, Galway will benefit to the amount of €435,437.

Measure 3 Enhancement of existing schemes including water conservation, Galway has been allocated almost €1,800,000.

Measure 4 New Group Schemes are allocated €698,600 with Kilricle on the list and awaiting final costings.

Measure 5 Transition of Existing Schemes allocation in Galway is €897,299.

Measure 6 Community Connection Networks in Galway receive €196,350

Measure 7 Innovation and Research, €36,000 is allocated to Galway

Proposals for funding were invited by the Department in early 2019 and following assessment 72 projects were approved for funding.
