I have received confirmation that Transport Infrastructure Ireland has allocated additional funding to Galway County Council of €414,117 for drainage works and road, pavement and footpath repairs on National roads in County Galway.

This funding is for essential repairs to our national primary and secondary roads.

Areas in Galway East to benefit from the funding include the N84 Headford to Shrule. the N65 Gortymadden, the N17 Tuam, Milltown, the N63 Mountbellew, the N83 Claregalway to Parkmore, the N67 Kinvara and the N83 Tuam.

This funding is essential to help maintain our roads in good condition following years of neglect. The funding also provides valuable work for contractors and sub-contractors across the County.
