I travelled to Lyon this week to open Enterprise Ireland’s second office in France.
As the uncertainty over Brexit continues, trade diversification for Irish companies is hugely important in building resilience. France is the fifth largest market globally for exports from Enterprise Ireland supported companies,
The launch of the Lyon office aligns with Enterprise Ireland’s market diversification strategy and is a key part of the Irish Government’s Global Ireland 2025 strategy, allowing Enterprise Ireland to be in an even stronger position to provide our international partners with a gateway to Irish innovation.
During the event, which I hosted with the CEO of Enterprise Ireland @JulieSinnamon and the Mayor of Lyon Gérard Collomb.
The event was attended by a large number of Irish companies I was delighted to meet Angela O’Grady from Belclare, who is co-founder and Operations Director of the HR Company, an HR Employment Law and Compliance business based in Sandyford, Dublin. She was accompanied by Managing Director Philip Carney and IT Director Peter Carney, who both grew up in Galway.
The Irish Times ran an article on the event. It can be viewed by clicking on the following link https://www.irishtimes.com/…/brexit-focused-enterprise-irel…
I also gave a short video address at the event, which can be seen here https://twitter.com/i/status/1199725823680548866
