There will be an information session about the 2020 Galway Golden Mile initiative for community groups and schools at the Angler’s Rest in Headford on Saturday November 9 between 1030am and 3pm.
The Golden Mile of Galway is an annual competition for which communities adopt a mile of roadway which celebrates natural and built heritage, history or folklore.
There will be a talk and walk with lunch included and I would encourage anyone interested to attend
The scheme, which has made a great difference to our local communities, is supported by LEADER funding from my Department, the Department of Rural and Community Development.
